    Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy is located in the courtyard of Beijing Fine Art Academy which is next to Chaoyang Park. Beijing Workers' Stadium, China Agriculture Exhibiting Hall and Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy compose the public culture establishment of Dongcheng district, Beijing. The building covers an area of 4600 square meters with 4 exhibition halls, and boasts an exhibition area of 1167 square meters. There are advanced hardware facilities with complete functions in exhibition halls. In addition, there is simultaneous interpretation report hall which can admit more than 100 people, all kinds of small or medium conference halls, various VIP Room with different decoration styles in the museum. It is an appropriate place to develop various academic exchange activities, and provides comprehensive service to artists, connoisseurs, collectors, critics and artistic amateurs. There are bookstores, coffee houses and other recreational places in the museum which provide visitors with gracious atmosphere when they want to have a rest or communication. All of these show our human-oriented concept.

    Rich collection is the foundation to build a museum. Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy relies on the abundant collection resources of the academy. The museum is a professional art academy which was first established in new China and has the largest scale, and has plentiful collections. The museum houses more than 1000 works created by Qi Baishi, including paintings, calligraphy works, lithography and personal letters. The museum also collects more than 4000 works from Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty. These collections rich the displaying of our museum, and provide enough space for the function expansion of the museum.

    The museum is divided into these following departments: Office, Planning Dept, Public Relations Dept, Exhibition Dept, Education Dept and Technology Dept. These departments form a professional exhibition service team, and give security for the technicality, originality and specialty of every exhibition.

    Qi Baishi Memorial is a branch of Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The main function of the memorial is collecting, displaying and researching the works of Qi Baishi, and always displays the works created by Qi Baishi. These works are divided into ten series, they are: "cheerfulness in grass"(grass and insects), "flowers know your heart"(flowers), "clear and clean"(vegetable and fruits), "village is fulfilled with earthy smell"(aquatic animals), "climbing the mountain, widening your eyes"(the landscape), "made in home"(people), "mei flower and chrysanthemum express emotion"(mei flower, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum), "write my own poems"(calligraphy), "never change "(lithography), "life is like a letter"(personal letters).There ten series have been successively showed. At the same time, the museum also pays attention to the development of painters from Beijing and Beijing Paintings. From the opening of the museum in September of 2005, the museum has held lots of exhibitions with high fine art value as follows: "Harmonious but Different--Figure Paintings Collected by Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy", "Masterwork in New China--Exhibition for Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Completion of Monument to the People's Heroes"、" Expressing Emotion through Retrospecting the Ancient Times――hand scrolls、album leaves and fans created by Wang Mingming"、"Modern Fine Arts Exhibition for China and Korea in 2008".Trough organizing these high-grade fine arts exhibitions, doing some related academic research and spreading fine arts education, the museum has become an important platform in carrying forward Chinese traditional culture and promoting exchanges between China and foreign countries.
