Wang Mingming, born in Beijing in 1952, hometown is Shandong Penglai County. Since his childhood, He had been adoring painting and his works were displayed in 30 countries. He won the Grand Prize and the first prize in the Children's Painting Competition of the world. In 1970s, Wang Mingming took a long and hard learning, questioned to many famous artists, such as Wu Zuoren, Li Kuchan, Jiang Zhaohe, Liu Lingcang, Lu Chen, Zhou Sicong, Yao Youduo,etc., which helped him lay a solid foundation of painting. In 1978, he was admitted to the Central Academy of Art, but did not attend school, in the same year,he was transferred to Beijing Fine Art Academy to do professional painting. His works had been displayed many times at the National Art Exhibition. He used to hold many personal exhibitions and lectures in Beijing, Singapore, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Canada,etc. and published a variety of personal art collections. Now he is the member of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee, the first-class artist and the dean of Beijing Fine Art Academy, deputy director of Beijing Municipal Bureau of Culture, the vice chairman of Chinese Artists Association, the chairman of Beijing Artists Association, the vice chairman of Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles Committee, deputy director of the CPPCC National Committee, the member of China Federation of Literary and Art Circles Committee, the doctoral tutor of Chinese Arts Academy, vice president of China Overseas Friendship Association, vice president of Beijing Association of Intellectuals outside the party, vice president of Beijing Municipal People's Association for Friendship. He enjoyed the State Council’s special allowance. In 2004, he was awarded the honorary title of " Advanced Individual Made Outstanding Contributions to the Capital Construction " by Beijing Municipal Committee.
