Qian Zi-jun (1926 - 1996) Her hometown is Yixing County, Jiangsu. She studied painting with her father Qian Songyan in her childhood and onced learned in Shanghai Arts Academy. In 1943, she held the first personal exhibition in Wuxi. In 1951, she graduated from the Fine Arts Department of Nanjing University and engaged in newspaper and art editing for a long time. In 1962, she held personal exhibition in Taiyuan of Shanxi Province. in 1983, she became a professional painter in Beijing Painting Academy. She used to went to Lake Taihu, Yanbei, Huangshan and Beijing suburb to paint. Her works had been exhibited in the National Art Exhibition for many times, and were displayed in Japan, the United States, Singapore and other places. Her works had been published in major newspapers in the country. Her works not only adhere to Chinese tradition, but also learned from foreign art. The southeast scenery she painted was fresh and beautiful. After settling in Beijing, she usually painted the Great Wall, pines, and other attractions, increased the expression of her works, showing her unique artistic personality.
