His original name is Wangding,nickname is Liangshi, hometown is Wuyang County of Henan province. He graduated from the Normal School in 1922 and learned from Qi Baishi in 1929, then returned home after "7 o 7" incident. In 1947, he returned to Beijing, continued to study painting with Qi Baishi and held exhibition in Beijing. After the founding of People's Republic of China, he worked in Beijing Exhibition Center. And in 1955, he transferred to Beijing Arts Company to be a painter. In 1962, he served as a professional painter in Beijing Art Academy. He was the member of Chinese Artists Association and in 1989, his posthumous exhibition is held in National Art Museum of China .      Wang Zhujiu inherited the tradition of Xieyi (freehand brushwork in traditional Chinese painting , characterized by vivid expression and bold outline). He combined calligraphy and seal carving into painting, making them vigorous and magnificent, vivid and full of verve. He used ink vigorously, vitally and vividly; used color heavily without losing freshness. He emphasized the contrast of color and ink, giving a strong sense of rhythm. He got the essence and had his own style, being an excellent painter of "Golden Stone Paintings School" in the twentieth century.
