Zhou Sicong was born in Hebei Province. In 1958, she graduated from Affiliated high school of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. In the same year, she studied in Chinese painting department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He studied with Professor Li Keran, Jiang Zhaohe, Ye Qianyu, Liu Lingcang. She graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1963, and was assigned as a professional artist in Beijing Fine Art Academy . In 1979, on the 30th anniversary of China, her "The People and The Prime Minister" won the first prize on the national art exhibition. In 1982, she created, "King's Paradise", "Hell On Earth" and "Miners Map" etc. Between 1983 and 1993, he was the member of Beijing CPPCC. In 1984, "The Noon" (oil painting) won the Bronze Award in the Sixth National Art Exhibition. She published "Human Body Painting of Zhou Sicong ", " Ink Painting of Zhou Sicong ", art collection-- "Zhou Sicong" and so on. Zhou Sicong was an outstanding artist of modern China. She worked hard in the field of Chinese painting and absorbed foreign arts and nutrition based on the national art traditions and reality. She created the painting style of combining realism, exaggeration, distortion and promoting the innovation of Chinese figure paintings. She described ordinary laborers sincerely with simple and vivid language, possessed rare real character. Suffering from rheumatism in her later years, she created pieces of vivid water and ink lotus, indicated her depression and vision for the future, as well as her rich and complex life experience.
