To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China, the Exhibition of Beijing’s Excellent Painting Works that host by Beijing Bureau of Culture, Beijing Fine Art Academy will hold in the National Art Museum of China from 9th to 17th July 2009, in order to reflect Beijing’s significant historical, humanity and social changes and unique geographical landscape for the past 60 years. The deluxe painting album of “the Exhibition of Beijing’s Excellent Painting Works” will publish simultaneously.

Since 2003, Beijing Fine Art Academy has operated “the Graceful Beijing” series exhibitions, which created over 600 paintings and focused on represents Beijing’s rich humanity history in this new historical period. This exhibition has selected 150 finest works from the collection of “the Graceful Beijing” series, typical and full of artistic quality. It is not only a concentrate display and summary of 6 years’ creative achievement, but also presents the massive social changes in Beijing’s landscape and charm. Thus, in one aspect this exhibition is trying to reveals the great historical success on Beijing’s cultural and social construction since the founding of new China, and the other eulogizes the new China’s significant achievements for the past 60 years.

This exhibition has gathered 7 years’ finest creations from over 100 artists in 3 generations; it is the most precious gift and deep-felt regard from artists to the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the People’s Republic of China.
