The International Forum of Qi Baishi’s Art were hold in Beijing from 15th to 16th Oct.2010. The academic activity was sponsored by Bureau of Arts, Ministry of Culutre, P.R.China, Beijing Municipal Cultural Bureau, and organized by Beijing Fine Art Academy. There are 93 scholars of Qi Baishi participated in the symposium, 32 researchers and directors of museums made speeches on the conference. The forum was successful, the topics coved from the characters of the paintings of Qi Baishi to the development of Chinese paintings in the 21st century, these discuss may provide more references for the art creative activities currently, and they were surly brought significant influences for the disseminating of Chinese traditional culture.

The A Complete Collection of Qi Baishi’s Works in Beijing Fine Art Academy also published during the conference, art history researchers were invited as editors of this serious of books. All the paintings and documents about the artist Qi Baishi were included in the serious of books, this serious book is an important academic research fruit about Qi Baishi’s art in the last decades of years．Besides ,the Beijing Fine Art Academy published two volumes of The collective works of the international forum (2010•Beijing) of Qi Baishi’s Art, they contended 42 articles. The Beijing Fine Art Academy also prepared the grand exhibition of Relish in the Nature----Selected works of Qi Baishi from Beijing Fine Art Academy’s collection,the exhibition will last from 16th Oct.to 7th.Nov. in Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition Qi Baishi---- from the people, to the people which is sponsored by China Central Academy of Fine Arts and Beijing Antique Corp. and co-organized by Research Institute of National Arts and Culture Policy,CAFA and Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy will also opened in Art Museum of CAFA. The documentary film named Qi Baishi introduced the art career of Qi Baishi.

The International Forum of Qi Baishi’s Art is an academic activity combined the symposium, exhibition and publishing, this forum not only introduced the value of Qi Baishi and Chinese art but also constructed a platform of the research and the communication of Qi Baishi, participants of the symposium discussed the future and the significance of Chinese traditional art, analysed the market of paintings of Qi Baishi’s paintings; the enhance of Chinese paintings of international art field. The symposium disseminated the essence of Chinese traditional art.
