25th Jun. 2011 (Monday), accompany with the exhibition of Look but See Different----Exhibition of Lu Fusheng, the education department arranged the public speech of The Contemporary Worth of Chinese Literati Painting. Mr.Lu（卢辅圣） is president and chief editor of Shanghai Calligraphy and Painting Publisher , Chairman of Duoyun Xuan (朵云轩)， vice President of Shanghai Artists Association, tutor of China Fine Arts Academy, College of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, Mr.Lu made a short summary of Chinese painting development in the first part, he regards Chinese literati painting’s development is the most complete and its development clues are also the clearest. Then, he also made an argument about the value of Chinese literati painting in our days: although Chinese literati painting doesn’t exist anymore but its ideology influences almost every parts of our daily life.

The speech welcomed by the students from different universities, the communication section last about two hours and audiences asked a lot of questions in the aspect of the current circumstance of Chinese literati painting’s development, they also very interested in Mr.Lu’s paintings and how artist make creation.

Though endeavors made by Beijing Fine Art Academy, public speech has became an important part of Beijing Fine Art Academy’s education, we will continue make good use of facilities and culture resources to enlarge its content, offer better service to the public.
