The exhibition Contemplation of city----Paintings from Fan Feng（樊枫）will hold in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy on 16th June. 2011. The exhibition is sponsored by the Publicity Department of Wuhan Municipal Committee, Wu Han Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Beijing Fine Art Academy.

         The exhibition is a station of the itinerant exhibition, Mr. Fan who is national level artist is a member of China Artists Association and the director of Wu Han Art Museum, the exhibition visited Chinese Culture Communication Center（柏林中国文化交流中心）, Shen Zhen Art Museum (深圳美术馆)， Fu Jian Art Museum (福建美术馆) and Changshu Art Museum (常熟美术馆)。

          Graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts, he had learned Chinese traditional painting, especially the water and ink painting, the study in his early years prepared a solid foundation for Mr.Fan. From the middle term of 1990s, Mr.Fan tried to describe the urban life with Chinese traditional techniques, he try to find the junction between traditional art and contemporary life, he continues his study of water and ink paining with urban life themes: city’s history, urban scenery, and urban life etc. which received broad reverberation. Green homeland was awarded the excellent art work in Chinese national fine arts exhibition, Jiu Pai Yun awarded the excellent art work in Chinese Free Hand Painting Exhibition.

           Different from the abstraction of Chinese traditional paintings with the theme of urban life, Mr.Fan’s paintings are more close to the nature and real life , the brush using techniques which used in describing the nature now also perfectly used in the depicting of city environment. With the distinct art character, Mr.Fan’s paintings captured a lot of audience. The relationship between city and nature is becoming more and more intense, the artist conveys the city’s prosperous and also reveals the problems behind, from these paintings the artist would like to arouse audience’s concern of the environment.

           The exhibition includes about seventy art works from Mr.Fan, not only with high technique of Chinese traditional art, these paintings also with the distinct time character. Though the personal exploration of contemporary water and ink painting on the themes of world and art realm, we believe that the exhibition will bring audience special culture experiences and venture sprite.
