         Tracing Source —Shishu Su and Yu Wang calligraphy and painting exhibition jointly hosted by Beijing Painting & Callgraphy Collector Association and Beijing International Wash and Ink Alliance Association, the exhibition will last from 19th Aug. to 28th Aug. 2011 at Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy.

 

         Shishu Su (苏士澍), was born in 1949 in Beijing, Manchu Nationality. Currently Mr.Su is a member of Standing Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, honorary President of the State Administration of Cultural Heritage, vice-chairman of Chinese Calligraphers Association and the president of Beijing Painting & Calligraphy Collectors Association. Since his childhood, he was very interested in calligraphy and carving art, and followed calligrapher Boqin Liu (刘博琴) to learn Chinese traditional art, when he grew up he followed Mr. Gong Qi (启功) for almost 30 years. He focuses on China ancient calligraphy and stone inscription edition work for many years.

 

          Yu Wang (王玉), was born in Heilongjiang in 1946, graduated from Chinese painting dept. of China Central Academy of Fine Arts, presently Mr.Wang is the national level artist, member of China Artists Association, president of Beijing International Wash and Ink Alliance Association. For many years, he mainly engaged in Chinese traditional landscape painting creation and has been gradually established his unique art style.
Paintings included in the exhibition were created on the base of two artists’ deep friendship. With the clue of find the original of art and though the art works selected, the exhibition discusses deeply about the truth of art.
