Zhu Qizhan(朱屺瞻)’s Art Retrospective Exhibition will meet audience on 23th Mar. 2012, the exhibition is hosted by Beijing Fine Art Academy , Shanghai Fine Art Academy, co-organized by Zhu Qizhan Memorial Hall, organized by China Guardian International Auction Co.,Ltd. About 80 paintings will be included in the exhibition which covered from 1940s to his late years. Most of these paintings are from famous Hongkong art collector Mr.Huang Guiquan (黄贵权), others Mr.Zhu’s wife. The exhibition will last to 11th Apr.

         Mr.Zhu’s paintings inherited tradition, combines Chinese and Western art style, Mr.Zhu makes strong colors suitable with Chinese ink while full of national character and personal style. His painting is just like himself, vice versa, his paintings bring healthy and happy atmosphere which convey strong life confidence.

         The painting Snow on the Cliff was painted on 1974, Mr.Zhu’s painting incline to his personal feel rather than national color and some idea or theory, he painted these paintings though his own point of view although his training from copy Chinese ancient paintings can still be find inside, this painting can be considered as representative. Mountains, trees especially stones has a relation between each other. The painter makes these images simple but still full of emotion.

         The painting Countryside which use bright colors is Mr.Zhu’s declaration after his tough years during Culture Revolution times. The painting does not pursuit elaboration, the images on the painting simple and directly. The poultry stroll under sunflowers reflects painter’s countryside emotion. Mr.Zhu made emphasize on color with using powerful brushes.

         The painting Autumn Scenery is finished in 1993, considering Zhu was already 101 years old; such a great creativity should be honored and respected. This painting collected his techniques and experiences which remind audience Song Paintings, however the painting full of modern style in details. In this painting, Zhu’s brushes are mature and do not consider for color’s contrast, his painting integrated in spare arrangement, symbolism, narrativity etc. just like finished immediately.
