This exhibition included 68 paintings which he painted during his journey, his paintings depicted Guilin’s particular landscape, magnificent Inner Mongolia Grassland scenery, gorgeous red sorghum in Dongbei, gigantic Helan Mountains and arduous stone forest, despite the scenery the artist also painted the spirit of mountain-and-water. In particularly, Mr.Xie’s later years’ paintings though distinct theme and possess convey the characteristic of authority's demeanour.

Shao Dazhen, who is the famous art critic, said that Xie Xin's mountain-and-water painting is similar to his personality which is simple and unadorned, pure, full of culture and spirit. This kind of mountain-and-water painting with humanistic spirit and internal spirit of the times is rare in today's blundering art circles.
