“on the paper----exhibition of contemporary Chinese ink painting” hold by Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy and Hebei Fine Art Press will begin from July 13th to July 18th,2012.
This exhibition puts more than 80 works of contemporary Chinese artists on display, which include three generations of artists from 50’s to 70’s. This exhibition reveals the exploration and practices of fine art by these artists and uses macroscopic view to understand and judge the future development of Chinese painting, grasp the cognitive meaning and academic value of the new setup of contemporary Chinese fine art, explain the vivid individual cases and group academic inclination during the development of contemporary Chinese fine art.
As it named, there are three generations of artists in this exhibition, the 50’s artists were grown up under the effect of 85’s culture ethos. As the entire society’s ethos changed, they face the challenge of western culture & fine art, they choose to absorb the beneficial nutrition of the culture ethos and use their cogitation of painting to give the true connotation of art representation to the followers. The works of 60’s artists have obvious academic inclination, their painting art send out the information by reflection of real experience and direct expression of urban culture and living status. While the artists of 70’s under the environment of culture prosperity like never before and extreme diversity of fine art, they follow the direction of 50’s and 60’s with themselves explanation and understanding. These three generations have common aim, but different in their judgment and opinion of culture and fine art, and the difference of their paintings can be considered to be the history of contemporary Chinese fine art development.
