Mo Xiaosong’s Bird-and-Flower Painting Exhibition will be opened on 31st Aug. and the ceremony will be opened on 1st Sept. at Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy, about sixty paintings will be included; these paintings, especially some paintings finished in recent years in Beijing Fine Art Academy, will provide us a clue of the artist’s painting development and reflect Mo Xiaosong’s endeavor in art. The exhibition is hosted by Chinese National Academy of Arts, Art Committee of China Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Academy, Chinese Fine Brush Painting Association.

          Born in Longxi, Gansu Province in 1964, Mo Xiaosong was graduated from Northwest Normal University in 1986, graduated from Guo Yizong bird-and-flower studio Cafa in 2000. Currently, Mr.Mo was the vice director of Art Committee in Beijing Fine Art Academy, national first grade artist, member of China Artists Association, standing Committee of Chinese Fine-Brush-Association, standing Committee of Beijing Artists Association. Mo Xiaosong get awards and participated the 7th, 8th ,9th ,10th national art exhibition, Hundred Years of Chinese Painting Exhibition, he had held solo exhibition in France, Japan and Hongkong, and published several personal albums. Mo Xiaosong’s painting is collected by World Relic Center of United Nations Educational，Scientific and Cultural Organization, National Art Museum of China, Shanghai Art Museum, Guangzhou Art Museum etc, and achieved widespread good reactions.

          Wang Mingming, the President of Beijing Fine Art Academy, wrote title for the exhibition personally. The president said that Mo’s painting combined academy study and personal creation, song and Yuan dynasty paintings’ characters, for example the painting of Lotus, from the painting audience can see Mo’s traditional techniques and distinguish visual effect. Mo’s paintings convey a quite atmosphere; the peaceful spirit is quite rare in young artists.

           Mo Xiaosong keeps thinking in tradition and modern, adherence and innovation, he also has young artist’s encourage, and explosive spirit. Mo joins the fine brush and free hand, point and space together, Mo is quite good at using cold color in his painting, his attempt in painting is quite worthwhile. To Chinese tradition, no mater old masters or modern artists, the artist always learn from them. From his paintings, audience can see his things and contemplation, the exhibition is a conclusion of Mo Xiaosong, we believe that he can achieve higher art level.
