New Year's Abundance 2022 shines a light on the Beijing Fine Art Academy collection of Qi Baishi to?celebrate the Chinese Spring Festival. This display highlights Qi Baishi's power to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary. It brings together some of BFAA's greatest collections to present the remarkable chapter of Qi Baishi's achievements in a new light.?
This exhibition of works from the BFAA Collection spans diverse art forms and subjects including bird-and-flower paintings, still-life paintings, figure paintings and?calligraphy. Another highlight of the exhibition is?a series of paintings on Twelve Animals of the Chinese Zodiac. These paintings focus on twelve subjects rat, ox, tiger, rabbit, dragon, snake, horse, ram, monkey, rooster, dog, and pig individually. Each is believed to embody certain traits that are manifested in the personalities of people born in that year. These artworks represent the best wishes from the artist to life and new year.
