“The Birth of a Painting: Exhibition Featuring Artists from Beijing Fine Art Academy” was opened to the public at the Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy on July 21st, 2020. The exhibition brought together more than 100 artistic creations by 31 in-service painters of Beijing Fine Art Academy, covering Chinese paintings, oil painting, installation, video and other art forms. This exhibition was organized by Beijing Fine Art Academy with support from all the painters in Beijing Fine Art Academy, and it fully presented the artistic creations by the painters from Beijing Fine Art Academy.
This exhibition takes “the birth of a painting” as the entry point for planning to showcase the wonderful artworks and it also presents the process behind the artists’ creations to the audience. In the exhibition, we have thoroughly sorted out the artists’ artistic experiences, work scenes, sketches, drawings, etc., and told the audience the story of the birth of “a painting” using detailed graphic materials. The audience can experience the charm of artistic creations and feel the arduous process of artist creation.
Since its establishment in 1957, Beijing Fine Art Academy has taken the inheritance and promotion of traditional Chinese culture as its mission. In recent years, in order to form an artistic creation team with high comprehensive literacy and reasonable age structure, Beijing Fine Art Academy has formed a talent introduction and training mechanism that integrates open recruitment and contracting system, performance inspection and competitive employment. When recruiting talent from society, Beijing Fine Art Academy is not limited by academic qualifications and regions, instead it focuses on the artist’s personal cultural spirit and artistic style. Beijing Fine Art Academy guides the painters in the creative direction and stimulates their creative passion to the greatest extent. In addition, Beijing Fine Art Academy also promotes the creative concept of “harmony with tolerance of differences” and it encourages painters to inherit the righteous heritage from traditions and actively explores personal styles in artistic creation.
