With deputy curator of the National Museum of China Chen Lvsheng as the academy Director, and hosted by Beijing Fine Art Academy, China National Academy of Painting, and Chinese Painting Institute, “The Ever-changing World----Exhibition of Xing Shaochen” will be opened on 10:30a.m. 23th October (Wednesday), 2015 at Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy.
Xing Shaochen, born in 1955, Beijing. He is the deputy director of department of creation and research in China National Academy of Painting, tutor of classes of high research studies in China National Academy of Painting, national artist, members of China artists association, member of Chinese Painting Institute, excellent expert in Ministry of culture, review and appraisal board of senior title professors in Ministry of culture, distinguished researcher of Chinese National Academy of Arts.
Xing Shaochen specializes in free-sketch Chinese painting. His works are bold and vigorous, with simple and concise brushwork, emphasizing on the sculptured-style of painting and delivering a beauty of tough and power to the audiences.
Xing Shaochen’s works are reflecting the impact from Chen Chun’s unrestrained characteristic, Bada Shanren’s simplicity, and Wu Changshuo’s sincerity, Qi Baishi’s natural, Pan Tianshou’s revolutionary spirit. He discarded the flatters in his works and initiate a style of bold and sincere. Chinese Famous Artist Qi Baishi once remarked his style like this “His work is apart from the gorgeous form, and he tried to deeply discover the truth of freehand brushwork in Chinese painting. What really precious is that with his efforts, the freehand brushwork in Chinese painting has made a great progress.” Xing Shaochen’s painting style is deeply influenced by Bada Shanren, and he inherited his artistic ideas in practice and researches. Different from Bada Shanren’s strong negative feeling, Xing Shaochen is tend to reflect the bright and positive side of life.
80 masterpieces of Xing Shaochen will be exhibited this time. The exhibition will last till 28th October.
