      Hutong•Home—Wang Liangwu Oil Painting Exhibition will be opened ceremoniously in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy in November 14, 2014, and will continue to 13:00 pm of November 19. This exhibition is jointly organized by the Beijing Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Academy, College of Art and Design of Beijing University of Technology, and undertook by Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition displays more than 60 oil paintings of Wang Liangwu created in recent years, especially shows the achievements of artistic exploration around the theme of the Hutong in 20 years.
 
 
      Wang Liangwu grew up in a Beijing hutong, there recorded the most wonderful time of his life. He went away from home for more than ten years in the period of "Cultural Revolution", hutong became more beautiful in his consciousness because of the distance and become his emotional sustenance. He said:“ I miss Beijing's hutong in a strange city...... Nostalgia makes hutong becomes extremely beautiful and vivid in my memory. I am eager to paint the hutongs, trees, and ancient city in that moment." With the development of cities and the transformation of the old cities, many hutongs are disappeared or disappearing. The objective reality brings Wang Liangwu out from the hutong, but can not split it out from his spirit world. People can feel his efforts to record the hutongs which are fading away with his the heart, and interpreting the historical truth and spirit.
 
 
      This exhibition summarizes the artistic achievements of Wang Liangwu systematically, and focuses on the theme of "Hutong •Home" to display his oil paintings. Audience can not only intuitively understand the different periods of Wang Liangwu’s art style of oil painting, but also can observe the continuous transformation of his artistic style. There are traces of the exploration of Western classical techniques in his paintings, and the rich of colors make his works more expressive. Some of his paintings have the feature of thick and simple of classical art, and some works also learned the painting methods of Impressionism. These methods make the picture more vivid, and the color is more charming. He integrates the solid foundation of painting technique, western painting language and the poetic humanity understanding into his own works, shows the unique art langue in his exploration. His paintings often describe four seasons and other phenomenon of nature as the main feature, show his sincerity to life and art. The subject of his painting seems simple, but he never sought too much innovation. He finds out myriads of changes in the Hutongs, and shows the most moving details in daily life.
 
 
      Introduction of Wang Liangwu
 
      Wang Liangwu, famous contemporary oil painter of China. He was born in Beijing in 1947. He graduated from the middle school attached to the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and art history department of Central Academy of Arts & Design. He is a member of the Chinese Artists Association, Beijing artists association, and also a teacher of College of Art & Design of Beijing University of Technology. His works were exhibited in many domestic and international art exhibitions and won the awards, and a number of works are collected by the National Art Museum of China and other personal art institutions.
