Yang Changhuai’s Ink Painting Art

      “Yang Changhuai's Ink Painting Art” exhibition which is co-sponsored by Chinese Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Academy, Federation of litterateur and artists of Guizhou province and Artists Association of Guizhou Province will be open on October 10, 2014 (Friday) at 3:00 pm in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy.
 
 
       Yang Changhuai is come from Dong of Guizhou province, his paintings which describe the hometown Dong theme ink works in early years are well known, and influence people’s understanding of the landscape of Guizhou province. However, as a "local" minority painter, Yang Changhuai does not limit his understanding of art in the styles and symbols of frontier area, but adheres to the "styles of brushes and ink should follow the times", looking for the way of combination of traditional Chinese painting spirits and contemporary cultural Guizhou landscape, trying to create art styles which reflect  life. From the 60s and 70s of last century, Yang Changhuai began to persisting in painting from nature in all possible conditions, so his works are always filled with a flavor of life and a strong sense of the scene.
 
 
       Yang Changhuai focus on Guizhou water after many years’ ink practice, make water as an independent object ofobservation and aesthetic subject, to explore the insufficiency and excessiveness of ink landscape painting. The famous esthetician Mr. Wang Zhaowen who concerns on the change of ink painting of Yang Changhuai in the long-term had commented: "Yang Changhuai’s skill of painting expands the water painting method created by Ma Yuan, and it is based on his familiarity with the unique personality of Guizhou landscape". This exhibition focused on several aspects of Yang Changhuai’s exploration from the "rapid waterfalls" around the water, and is divided into “Hong Bo Tuo Shi”, “Qian Shan Qian Xing”, “Daishan Zao Xiang”, “Huangshan Tour”, “Xi Chu Yang Guan”, “Gu Liu Shi Feng” six units,. These dozens of works not only record his art tour in nearly 10 years which traveled more than ten thousand miles, but also outline the  transformation and sublimation clues of ink art clearly, break through the restrictions of theme, and obtain a new ink art feature. By means of simple language materials, Yang Changhuai shows a feeling of freedom and profound, these changes of ink painting are undoubtedly reflected excellent tradition of Chinese.
 
 
       Yang Changhuai has served as president of Guizhou Province Artists Association, secretary-general, vice president, president, deputy secretary and secretary of the Party group of the Guizhou Province Federation of Literary and Art Circles, alternate member of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, committee member of the ninth, tenth Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, committee member of the National Committee of the National People's Congress. In several decades of years, his creations and great love and tolerance to his hometown, have significant influence on the development of contemporary culture and art of Guizhou.
 
 
       This exhibition will last from October 10 to October 15th, 2014.
