Since last year, for supporting minority region’s art, helping local art affairs developing, and benefit the culture exchange between different nations, Beijing Fine Art Academy held “Invitation Exhibition of Different Nations”. As a series exhibition, we would like to introduce minority region’s art though this platform; and more Beijing residence can admire contemporary art from border area without long journey.
“It is what it is----Han Shuli’s Water-and-Ink Exhibition” is the third exhibition of the series exhibition, the exhibition will be opened on 29th Nov and will last to 3rd Dec 2013, at Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition is hosted by China Artists Association, The Tibet autonomous region federation of literature and art, Beijing Artists Association, Tibet Artists Association, Li Keran Art Foundation. As a report after Han Shuli stayed in Tibet forty years, the exhibition will focus on Han Shuli’s water and ink paintings created in Tibet in this exhibition. Han Shuli painted on the special materials called “Jing Ban” which only exist in Tibet region; it is an exploration in art. These materials are mostly from Tibet temples, contends mysterious feels and religion belief also represents Tibet minority’s special aesthetic choice.
Han Shuli was born in 1948 Beijing, he went to Tibet when he was 25 years old, and stayed there forty years. Han Shuli though himself to the magical plateau. When his art works bring him glorious honor, they also distribute Tibet’s culture to different areas. With the leading of Han Shuli, a lot of Tibet local artists gradually grew up, their art works step into the new world to display today Tibet’s brilliance.
