A very different exhibition will be held in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy on 9th Sept. The name is different, but the subtitle explains: the painting, literature, culture relics protection and education exhibition of Feng Jicai.

          Feng Jicai is a famous contemporary writer and painter, his articles and books are very popular in public; he propagandized the culture relics protection in last ten years, his actions aroused widespread influence, and made great contribution to Chinese culture protection, he equally stepped into university education and established a special academy, he got great achievements in different fields.

          I am not pulling four Carriages, I am using the equal strength to pull on carriage which is full of staff which should be carried by four. I do not feel tired, because these staff are all my favorite. said Feng Jicai.
Feng said that he does parallel jobs very day.

          As a writer, Mr.Feng is a representative to scar literature, reflection literature and culture novels. His novels like Tall woman and her Short Husband, Magical Whip, Small Feet of Women, A Strange Man, Ten years of One Hundred People etc. brought widespread influence in public, and were translated into English, French, Russian, German, Italian, Spanish etc. A lot of his articles also chosen into teaching material, like Transportation Works in Tai Mountain, Pearl Bird etc. these articles move generations of children. Until today, he still keep on writing.

          As a painter, Mr.Feng has his own style. When he was young he studied Song style painting after he majored in writing, he gradually cultivated literati style, and he made exploration in modern literati painting. In one aspect, he insists on the emotion tradition, on the other hand the try to involve essay’s narrative elements in. Chinese painter Liu Danzhai said: do you know what is modern literati painting? Just look at Feng Jicai. Japanese artist Hirayama Ikuo also said that Feng’s painting is modern literati’s painting.

          A culture relics protector, this is his new identity for public. Chinese culture relics face crisis in our modern society, Feng is a pioneer in this circle. He do preserve works personally even he is already more than sixty years old, he went to the mountains to do researches and go different places to propaganda, he even sell his paintings to establish a foundation for relics conserving. A lot of his advices about culture establishment adopted by the government.

          In education part, Feng said that education is one of  important things in his late years, in resent ten years he focused on education. He thinks that there are three aspects in humanity dept of university, the first one is humanity spirit, and the soul of university is humanity spirit.The second one is the responsibility of conserving culture and classic staff. The third one is cultivate students who has wide perspective, practice ability etc. Feng made effort on this project, currently he already has ph.D and master students, and the academy is the only on which named after a literati-art person: Fengji Cai Academy.

          About eighty paintings, about one hundred and sixty literature art works, thirty education materials and a lot of achievements of culture relics preservation and research.

            Seventy years old is a harvest season for a person, but Feng’s achievements are really astonishing.

            In the exhibition, the Sanlian book store published a painting biography named Life Venation, the book describe Feng’s experiences and his achievements in different aspects.

            The exhibition was hosted by Ministry of Culture of China, Counsellor’s Office of the State Council, Literati and History Learning Committee of the National Committee of China, Democratic Progressive Party of China,Chinese Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Chinese Writer’s Association, Tianjing University, China Artists Association, Chinese Folk Artists Association and Beijing Fine Art of Academy .

            The exhibition will last ten days, from 9th to 18th Sept. The sign conference wille be held at 15:00 on 18th Sept. at the museum.
