Chinese Minority Artists Invitation Exhibition Series,Pursing Dream in the Plateau ---Selected Paintings from Yu Youxin
The exhibition Pursing Dream in the Plateau --Selected Paintings from Yu Youxin is the first series minority artists’ exhibition in Beijing Fine Art Institution; the opening will be opened on 24th and last to 29th Oct. 2012. The exhibition is hosted by Art Committee of China Artists Association, Tibet Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Beijing Artists Association, Tibet Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Institution, Tibet Calligraphy-and-Painting Academy. Painting from 1980s when Mr.Yu went to Tibet and the exhibition is divided into three sections including more than sixty paintings, the exhibition will bring Beijing audience an opportunity to admire Tibet art.
The exhibition of minority artists is a new series in Beijing Fine Art Institution, though organizing exhibition, holding academic symposium to build a display platform for minority artists, this kind of exhibition also benefit Beijing audience that make them can see exhibitions from far away places, we will continue this series exhibition in the future.
Pursing Dream in the Plateau is an explanation of Mr.Yu’s Tibet excursion conclusion, as he said to himself, I purse dream in the creation, I though myself into Tibet and I will I will not wake up. As early as in 1982, Yu Youxin left Beijing and moved to Tibet. He visited different areas of Tibet, Tibet families and Tibet Temples. Painting themes are various, including the Tibet Buddhism, nature scenery, which is very different from city artists.
Not only an excellent artist, Yu Youxin also makes effort on transmit Tibet contemporary art; he made a lot of researches on Tangka which provide important channel for amateurs. On the other aspect, the art affair in Tibet still maintain in a begin stage, after the Reform-and-Open policy, the circumstance became better. Under the leader of Yu Youxin, a lot of Tibet artist become mature, their art works gradually step into the world and display Tibet’s art.
