The exhibition Behind Paintings of Huang Zhou will be opened on 2 Sep.2010 and last to 15 Sep. 2010 in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition is co-organized by the Calligraphy &Painting Workshop of the CPPCC, China Artists Association, China National Academy of Painting, Arts Association of Beijing, Beijing Fine Art Academy, Beijing Huang Zhou Fine Arts Foundation, as the nineteenth exhibition of the Series Exhibitions of 20th Century Chinese Art Masters,about 78 paintings from Huang Zhou will meet audience during the show including Chinese traditional painting, sketches etc.,the exhibition brings the audience a comprehensive understanding of the artist Huang.
Representative paintings like Harvest, Patrol, the First Red Flag in Mount Jing Gangshan, themes around Xin Jiang Province likes Dancing of Uygur Ethnic, Music, and also paintings with the themes of the colorful living styles in frontier region of China and figures in literary works like Girls of Hu’an, Ashima, Chun Lan etc. can be seen this time, in general, the exhibition collected different kinds of painting in different time periods of the artist.
Huang Zhou who is original named Liang Gantang, and Yin Zhai was born in Li Country He Bei Province, he is a prestigious artist and public figure in modern Chinese art circle. Paintings like Prairie, Pasturage etc. had been handed on Great Hall of the People, Sea Palaces, Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and other important places, some of them had been send to leaders of foreign countries as presents. The artist also keened on the activities of art, he participated in the establishment of Research Institute of Chinese Art, he is also a council member of China Artists Association, he had participated in the establishment of Yanhuang Art Museum in his later years, Mr.Huang had made great achievement for the development of modern Chinese art.
