Art Creation on Fingers New paintings from Cui Ruzhuo

          Art Creation on Fingers will be held from 11th Aug. to 18th Aug. in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition is hosted by China Artists Association, Beijing Artists Association and Beijing Fine Art Academy. Paintings in the exhibition are created with fingers, among sixty paintings of the exhibition there are 46 pieces of landscapes, 10 pieces of bird and flower paintings and 4 calligraphies.

 

         The exhibition will also be held in Qingdao, Shanghai, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Xi’an, Lanzhou, Liaoning, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Japan. The round exhibition is collected 216 paintings of Mr.Cui, including 150 traditional paintings, 6 hand scrolls, 52 paintings created by fingers, and 16 calligraphies, the prominent art works like Snow maple tree (about 50 meters) and lotus(17.8m ×2.8m) which is especially for the Great Hall of the People are also included in the exhibition tour.

 

         The individuality and Chinese tradition can be seen in the paintings of Cui Ruzhuo, his works gain favorable comments in the academic circle and other social fields. He loved calligraphies and traditional Chinese paintings since he was a child. As a disciple of Pan Tianshou, Li Kuchan and Li Keran etc. he studied Chinese traditional art for a long period. His landscape painting and flower-bird painting were displayed around the world and bring widespread influence.

 

         According to the records of Famous Paintings through the Ages which was write by Zhang Yanyuan in Tang dynasty, the method of painting drew by fingers was originated in Tang dynasty, and inherited by Gao Qipei and Pan Tianshou. In recent years, Cui Ruzhuo interested in this kind of painting and keeps on studying it.

 

        The Chinese paintings’ traditional spirit is inherit traditional and development in nowadays. Cui Ruzhuo gets his inspiration from the Chinese tradition and formed his own art character. The achievements of Mr.Cui are presented in the exhibition and these fruits also imply a new direction of Chinese freehand painting.
