The retrospective exhibition of Liu Lingcang’s selected fine brush paintings will be opened in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy on21st June 2010 and the exhibition will last to 4th August. The exhibition is hosted by China Artists Association ,Beijing Artists Association ,Central Academy of Fine Arts ,Beijing Fine Art Academy .As one of Exhibition of Series Exhibitions of 20th Century Chinese Art Masters in 2010 ,which is organized by Beijing Fine Art Academy. This is a grand solo retrospective exhibition of Liu Lingcang seventy claborate-style paintings, included about War of Feishui which play an important part in claborate-style paintings field ,and Liu Lingcang’s representative work Quyuanask to Canopy, this fit other exhibition will overall present all of the artistic feature and he’s art achievements in claborate-style paintings field of 20th century.

        Liu Ligcang was born in a peasant family in Gu’an of Hebei province. Learning from folk artisan Li Dongyuan at he’s age of 14 for living. As an apprentice in workshop, Liu Lingcang try to grasp technique, then went to Beijing alone, followed the master of Beijing School such as Zhou Zhaoxiang、Chen Banding、Xiao Qianzhong、Xu Yansun and so on. Living on the sale of paintings, and join the Academy of Chinese Painting, and work as editing in Art Magazine which with Hushe Magazine are most time spent and important or influential in Beijing. These have greatly increased Liu Lingcang’s art theories and impel he becomes a scholar of painting history and painting theories.

        Liu Lingcang is an important chinese artist of 20th century. He plays an importent part in exquisite brush serious wound painting.
