The exhibition “Black and White in Mount Huang----Photography form Zhang Meiyin” will be opened on 13th Jul. 2010 at the art museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy and will last to 19th Jul.2010.The exhibition is hosted by Beijing Fine Art Academy, Photographer Association of Fujian Province, Photo Art Association of Singapore.
About 90 photos are included in the exhibition with the theme of Mount Huang, meanwhile these art works will be donated to Beijing though Beijing Fine Art Academy.
As the renowned Chinese Singaporeans photographer, he was born in Quanzhou Fujian Province in 1950, and began his art career in 1994. After that, he had several personal exhibitions and had published a lot of albums of photography. Currently Mr.Zhang is the president of Photograph Research Association of Singapore and consultant of Photographer Association of Fujian Province etc. The artist had be awarded a lot of Singapore national cultural prizes and had been nominated three times as “Eminent Photographers of the World” (the tenth, the third and the first). Mr.Zhang also has profound knowledge in the collecting and research in Chinese painting which field he had devoted himself to about thirty years.
He had been to Inner Mongolia and Si Chuan many times to experience the magnificent Chinese natural scenery for his photography. The black and white language which widely used in Chinese painting had become a way the Chinese look the world, similarly water and ink is an abstraction of colors. Mr.Zhang’s photography revealed the spirit of Mountain Huang in his photography though white and black language.
