The exhibition “Radiance in the Chinese traditional art field” will be hold in 3.Mar.2010 in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. This exhibition is sponsored by the calligraphy and Chinese traditional painting department of CPPCC, China Artists Association, Beijing Artists Association, Beijing Fine Art Academy.

          As one of the best disciples of Qi Baishi, he had been appointed as the president of Beijing Fine Art Academy and was famous in his little freehand brushwork of flower and bird Chinese traditional painting. This exhibition collected about one hundred works of excellent flower and bird traditional paintings and sketches created in different periods of Wang Xuetao, though these art works the exhibition try to present all characters of this artist. Accompany with the opening of this exhibition the book published by China Academy of Fine Arts Press will also meet readers.

         Besides, a symposium named “the relationship between Wang Xuetao and the revolution of bird and flower Chinese traditional painting in 20th century” will be hold on the same day of the exhibition opening. Though the academic discussions we will forward the depth of the research about this artist. As the first exhibition of “Series exhibitions of 20th century Chinese art masters” in tiger year, this exhibition will bring audience a kind of delightful and colorful experience.
