The exhibition of “Sunshine Plateau” will be hold in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy from 6th to 19th January 2010, the exhibition is sponsored by China Artists Association, Beijing Artists Association, Xi Chuan Province Artists Association and Beijing Fine Art Academy, and organized by Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy. The exhibition has collected more than sixty art works of the famous woodcut artist Xu Kuang, among these art works there are 13 carved original wood boards and some sketches. Art works in the exhibition including the representative art works in nearly fifty years created by Mr. Xu, and all of them with the themes come from the life of people who lived in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. Sketches, art works and carved original wood boards juxtaposed in this exhibition, which is novel both in exhibition content and style and will provide an extraordinary visit experience for audiences.

         As the first sole exhibition of Mr.Xu in his art career of recent fifty years, the important art works such as < The Primary School in a Village>, etc. will be seen in this exhibition. New art works as , < Return from Herding Sheep>, etc. which created after 2000 year convey a new extent of Mr.Xu’s wood cut art. These art works express the healthy, unaffected and optimistic national personality of the people who lived in the plateau and describe the life which in full of local character. The highlight of this exhibition is the two carved original wood boards which lengths is nearly two meters and created within two years. The art works of Mr.Xu are distinguished, symbolic and aesthetic; he created typical figures of different periods with his unique art language, all these characteristics make his art works are remembered by the public and established his distinguished status in art field. The vitality of Mr.Xu’s art is ever-lasting.
