The exhibition Spring in the South Region of Yangtze River will be opened in 21st Jan. in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Museum. The exhibition is hosted by China Artists Association, Beijing Artists Association
Beijing Fine Art Academy and Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum. The art works presented in this exhibition are selected from the collection of Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum.
Master art works form two art institutions
The Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum and the Beijing Fine Art Academy had decided to cooperate in holding exhibitions in Jun. last year, Beijing Art Academy had loaned 80 paintings of Qi Baishi for the exhibition Qi Baishi and Fu Baoshi Chinese Painting Exhibition which held in Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum on 28th Sep. 2010. The exhibition achieved a great success and about thirty medias had reported about this exhibition. The exhibition Spring in the South Region of Yangtze River is another important section of the cultural communication; about 70 art works will be show in this exhibition. The exhibition will last to 21st Feb. which will bring more happiness for the Spring Festival.
Traditional literati cultural area: south region of Yangtze River
Jiangsu is important in the development of Chinese painting development, especially in Ming and Qing dynasties. In the fist half of 20th century, Jiangsu as part of Yangtze River delta is one of origins in Chinese modern art.
Nanjing is a city with long history, Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum is derived from National Art Museum (国立美术成列馆) which established in 1936, it is the first national gallery in the Chinese modern history. Jiangsu Provincial Art Museum had collected a lot of art treasures from Shen Zhou (沈周) to the Jinling paitings Groups (金陵画派).

The artists in this exhibition covered Li Keran (李可染),Wu Changshuo(吴昌硕),Gao Jianfu (高剑父),Shi Lu(石鲁),Fu Baoshi(傅抱石),Qian Songyan(钱松岩), such a comprehensive exhibition which contend so much art masters will send audiences a warm winter.
