To name the title of “Fusion and Creation” has marked this exhibition’s attitude of “seeking truth with open mind”, in response to current pluralism trends of artistic development home and abroad. This is the new task raised by this new era. From the reality aspect of cultural artistic development, pluralism has been the irreversible trend of the times that widespread by people of various countries, including Chinese people. History is already proved that any single cultural development mode is go against art’s prosperity and creation. Obturation and rejection can only place oneself in the midst of developing trend; the art itself will also decompose if it cannot absorb any nourishment. In the face of wealthy but complicated artistic develop mode, to insist on the realistic attitude of open and the analytic reference and absorption will benefit the art’s exchange and collision, thereby produce the possible new creation from reciprocal exchanges and syncretizes.
