Through the Seasons: Artists’ Works from Beijing Fine Art Academy

      As the year draws to a close, everything takes on a new look. Through the Seasons: Artists’ Works from Beijing Fine Art Academy, which was launched by Beijing Fine Art Academy, will be staged from December 26, 2025 to January 25, 2026, at the academy. This exhibition brings together 50 works by the artists of Beijing Fine Art Academy, offering a visual and spiritual journey to conclude the year.

 

      This exhibition is structured around the academy’s four major studios, i.e. landscape, bird-and-flower, figures, and oil painting. It systematically showcases the artists’ in-depth exploration and breakthroughs in their fields.

      These works look back at tradition while looking into the present, demonstrating the artists’ persistent exploration of artistic language, cultural depth, and spiritual expression. Meticulous brushwork is interwoven with freehand expression, and realism coexists with expressionism. From the refined depiction of forms to the expansion of artistic ideas, from exploring diverse formal possibilities to conveying profound emotional depth, the artists continuously hone their unique artistic languages and styles. 
 
      Rooted in brush-and-ink tradition, the Landscape Painting Studio fuses the robust structure of mountains with the rhythmic flow of water within the confines of the scroll, devoted to exploring a contemporary expression of landscape. The artists seek innovation in composition, infuse vitality into artistic conception, and represent the zeitgeist in traditional landscape. 

      On the basis of the spirit of the brush and ink in Chinese painting, the Flower-and-Bird Painting Studio is dedicated to forging the aesthetics of Eastern art.  No matter meticulous brushwork or freehand expression, the artists draw inspiration from nature, capturing the vivid vitality and poetic charm in grasses, leaves, feathers, and beaks.

      The Figure Painting Studio is committed to refining the essence and spirit through brush and ink, conveying emotions and reflections, and reflecting the spirit of the times. In the strokes of the brush, the artists capture the essence of figures and the stories behind them, while imbuing each work with a profound sense of humanistic warmth.

      The Oil Painting Studio draws deep nourishment from tradition while focusing on the expression of contemporary art under the global context. The artists blend Eastern and Western influences, progress from a confluence of techniques toward a resonance of spirits, and expand into broader creative horizons.

      As the year draws to a close and a new one begins, we present the exhibition Through the Seasons to all who cherish the beauty of art. May you sense the warmth of time and the stillness of art within these works, and welcome a hopeful new year amid the flow of ink and color.
