In order to carry out the important spirit of the speech made by Chairman Xi Jinping in the forum of literary and art circle, more than 30 painters and researchers of Beijing Fine Art Academy held a series of donating and sketching activities in Guizhou under the leadership of dean Wang Mingming.

       Artists of Beijing Fine Art Academy donated 600 books and 2200 set of tools which used to painting and writing calligraphy to students of two local primary schools, and warmly welcomed by local government, schools, students and their parents. All the artists of Beijing Fine Art Academy hope children to make good use of these learning tools, and carry out more art activities, help them to have chances to descript the world in their eyes freely as same as children of the same age. Artists promised children to give some advices about their paintings which sent to Beijing Fine Art Academy after being finished.

       Artists of Beijing Fine Academy went into Liping, Congjiang, Rongjiang and other Dong minority inhabited areas to find nature materials in sketches. They visited the greatest Dongzhai and Miaozhai, appreciated minority songs of Dong and Hmong, the exciting dance, colorful embroidery and other folk art. They also lived together with people of the minority nationalities, experienced their life, recorded the daily life of them vividly by paintbrush and camera. The magnificent natural scenery, pristine and simple folk culture moved all the artists deeply, and the harsh living conditions also impressed on artists’ minds.

       During the whole activity, artists and leaders of Beijing Fine Art Academy conducted a number of seminars with the government, federation of literary and art circles and relevant departments of Guizhou province, and planned more in-depth cooperation together. Beijing Fine Art Academy and Guizhou province government jointly determined to organize a series propaganda, exhibition and publication activities around the culture of Dong and Hmong in China. Artists are also trying to reflect local natural landscape, culture, history and living conditions of minority in a vision of “great culture”. Art museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy will hold exhibition about Dong culture, and publish related picture album to promote the dissemination of national culture. Therefore, Beijing Fine Art Academy will organize another activity to painting in the nature, and create a lot of works with high ideological and artistic masterpieces. What’s more, we also will move this exhibition to Guiyang to expand its influence. In 2016, Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy will hold exhibition and research activities about the culture of Hmong in China. We made an agreement on that we should protect the “original culture” when we promote the tourist career of Guizhou meanwhile.

       In recent years, Beijing Fine Art Academy organized a number of exhibitions and publication activities of national minority, including the Sketches of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in 2009, the Sketches of Xizang Autonomous Region in 2011, the Sketches of Jinghong in Yunnan Province in 2012, and support minority artists’ creation at the same time. We held exhibitions for them in Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy, and invited experts made targeted lectures and discussions. These activities not only to promote cultural exchange between national minorities, but also produced many outstanding works of art, received positive evaluations of the public.
