Open the Door of Art Ⅲ started on 6th Apr.2011 at Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy’s conference room, Ms.Wang Baolian(王宝莲) hosted the opening ceremony, Mr.Yuan Wu (袁武)，vice director of Beijing Fine Art Academy, Mr.Wu Hongliang(吴洪亮) director of Art Museum of Beijing Fine Art Academy and Mr.Li Wenyu(李文玉)，vice director of Zhongshan Music Hall （中山音乐堂）presented the opening ceremony.
The summer camp is an important part of Open the Door of Art, and it is hosted by Beijing Fine Art Academy and Zhongshan Music Hall, Open the Door of Art can be traced to 1994, with the support of propaganda department of Beijing Municipal Party Committee and Beijing Bureau of Culture, it becomes an important culture activity in children’s summer vocation, As a non-profit institution, education is an important part of Beijing Fine Art Academy’s function, especially the youth’s education which is a comprehensive art education activity.
The activity is welcomed by children and their families, taught by experience teachers from Beijing Fine Art Academy, the summer camp will be divided into four sections of The Art Museum You Don’t Know, Watch Cartoon& Appreciate Chinese Traditional Painting, Make an Acquaintance with Chinese Traditional Painting Elves, the Exhibition of Little Artists. Participated children will be divided into groups according to their ages and be guided with different teachers.
SectionⅠ the Art Museum You Don’t Know
Followed by teachers, children visited the exhibition of the Art World of Chen Lemin and Immaculate family-----Vegetable and fruit in Qi Baishi’s paintings, children listen to teachers’ introduction of paintings’ contents, history background and paintings’ representation, and teachers join art theories into the visiting process. The introduction make art questions interesting, funny and simply, in this way children can understand art and teachers can also guide children find their own art key with which they can convey art beauty themselves.
SectionⅡ Watch Cartoon& Appreciate Chinese Traditional Painting
Most children interested in cartoon made by ink and wash painting, this section arouse children’s interest and their creation.
Section Ⅲ Make an Acquaintance with Chinese Traditional Painting Elves
Teachers make an introduction of Chinese Traditional Painting Elves and make children and elves become friends. Children with different ages do different games, 3-6 ages children drop colors and ink on synthetic glass and then put on xuan paper to form interesting images. Though this game children can also have a basic understanding of Chinese painting, for children aged between 7-12 we added the lecture about Qi Baishi’s paintings with the name of Childhood, Children’s Heart, and Children’s Fun.
After the basic practice, children drawn a painting with different kinds of points, lines then children drawn a painting on the themes of fruits, vegetables etc. Referring to Qi Baishi’s paintings, children finished their own paintings.
Section Ⅳ the Exhibition of Little Artists
The exhibition displayed all children’s paintings, teachers made a conclusion of the summer camp, parents very satisfy with the activity and want to join the program next time. With the education program more and more children step into Qi Baishi’s art world and experienced the charm of Chinese traditional painting. With the exhibition of Immaculate Family-----Vegetable and fruit in Qi Baishi’s paintings children learn how to understand life with their own eyes, how to feel life, and art is derived from life but transcending life. The education is not only teaches children knowledge about art museum but also cultivate their love of art.
