Wang Xueya graduated from Southwest Fine Arts College in 1949, and in 1959, graduated from advanced training class of Chinese Painting Academy. In 1976, he transfered to Beijing Painting Academy, and once worked as general secretary and vice president of Beijing Painting Academy. In 1986, he led a delegation to visit Romania and organized modern China exhibitions. In July, 1988,he held sole exhibition at China Art Gallery. His works had been exhibited at home and abroad for many times, published on several kinds of newspapers and collected by National art museum of China and other institutes. He participated in exhibitions in Japan, the United States, Canada, Singapore and other countries. He once served as the chairman of Chinese Artists Association, member of Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association and president of Chinese Painting Research Institute.
