Pu Songchuang(Late)

His original name is Ai Xin Jue Luo o Fu Quan; pen name: Xue Xi, Rao Xian, Jian Zhai, he was born in Beijing. In 1928 he joined Pine Tree and Wind Painting Club; in1936, he participated in Chinese Painting Research Society. In the same year he was employed as lecturer of painting landscapes at Department of Fine Arts, Fu Ren University; he also taught at Beiping Public Fine Arts Academy; Professor of Fine Arts tutorial, Peking University; After the founding of New China, he joined the Beijing New Chinese Painting Research Society; in 1953, he joined Beijing Chinese Painting Research Association and served as the Executive Commissary and the Director of the Secretary Department; in 1955, he was elected as director; In 1958, he became a member of Beijing Art Gallery. Sketched along the Red Army Route in 1956, the artist and Xu Yan Sun, Wang Xuetao finished "long march hand-rolled."      The artist successively taught in Beijing, Tianjin and other places.In 1985, he has been appointed as a scholar in the literature and history study centre.in Selected as the seventh, eight and ninth National People's Congress member,and member of Beijing Artists Association, Beijing Calligraphy Research, Chinese Calligraphers Association, Zhongshan painting and calligraphy studio consultant and deputy director of the Creative Committee, the Chinese calligraphy director of the elderly.
