Qu Zhen(Late)

Qu Zhen’s hometown is Beijing and her style name is Jingyi. She is the daughter of Qu Zhaolin, the court painter in late Qing Dynesty , she studied painting with her father in her childhood. Her early works inherited tradition Chinese painting techniques and were delicate, having the style of court painting. After the founding of New China, she added new content in her works and also cooperated with a lot of masters in Beijing Painting Academy and participated in various types of exhibitions. She respected for traditional techniques , but did not adhere to the traditional painting skill. She was skillful and had her own style. Her "Chrysanthemum" stamps which are cooperated with Hu Jieqing were published at home and abroad and were highly praised. Since 1929, her works were exhibited for many times. Since 1949, she worked in the Central Academy of Fine Arts and the Central Academy of Arts and entered into Beijing Beijing Painting Academy in 1958.
